Reproduction of images, copyright and filming
We are frequently asked for images of items from our collection for reproduction in publications and articles, and for permission to film at the Archives and Museum. We welcome these opportunities as they enable the material we have here to reach wider audiences. The Bethlem Art and History Collections Trust owns:
-
copyright of all of the items in our collections which are still in copyright.
-
copyright of all of our images of items in the collections which are out of copyright.
-
filming rights for our premises within Bethlem Royal Hospital.
We license the use of images for reproduction and filming on the premises. We charge fees in proportion to the work involved and in proportion to whether the end use is educational or commercial.
